Ol Pejeta House

Once the exclusive ranch of famous multi-millionaire Adnan Kashoggi, this magnificently presented house stands within extensive grounds at the centre of the Ol Pejeta Game Conservancy, which boasts a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any other Kenyan national park.  

Location

Ol Pejeta Game Conservancy, Nanyuki, Kenya. 217 kilometres from Nairobi. 

Accommodation

Two Luxury Suites with king-sized beds, dressing rooms and spacious private verandas. 2 Standard Guest Rooms, also with terraces. 

Buffalo Cottage, a stand-alone cottage in the grounds, offering two deluxe rooms and central fireplace area.

Room amenities: 24-hour room service, butler and valet service, private kitchens, use of magnificent central lounge, reception, TV room and bar. Use of private grounds including two private swimming pools. Use of the amenities offered at neighbouring Sweetwaters Tented Camp.

Dining and bars

The house has its own magnificent private dining room, private kitchen and dedicated chef. Menus can be tailored to suit the specific requirements of the guests. Drinks can be taken in the splendid baronial central lounge (with imposing log fire), in the bar, on any of the spacious terraces that surround the house, by either of the two pools or in the delightful grounds. Guests can also enjoy all the facilities of the nearby Sweetwaters Tented Camp and Ol Pejeta Game Conservancy. 

Conference and event facilities

The house can be taken in its entirety for dedicated conference or corporate events and includes the sse of the Sweetwaters business centre offering full business back-up and conference facilities. 

Weddings and honeymoons

Ol Pejeta House makes the ultimate wedding and honeymoon location and can be taken in its entirety. Additional guests can be accommodated at the nearby Sweetwaters Tented Camp. Wedding consultancy and advisory services. 

Child-friendly

All Serena lodges are child-friendly and offer: family rooms, additional beds, cots, children’s mealtimes and menus, babysitting services, educational materials, wildlife presentations, guided nature walks.

What to see and do

Boasting a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any of Kenya’s national parks, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy offers unprecedented opportunities for wildlife watching, either by guided walks, camel treks, or by day and night game drives, while likely sightings include all the members of ‘The Big Five’ (elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard).

Day and night game drives, morning and afternoon nature and bird walks, camel trekking within the conservancy, lion-tracking. Visit to the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary, visit to the Ol Pejeta Game Conservancy Educational Centre (and the chance to stroke Morani, Kenya’s tamest rhino). Tour of authentic Maasai and Pokot village - dance displays, traditional welcome and handicrafts sale.

Eco-culture

The Ol Pejeta Game Conservancy works closely with the local Maasai Ereri Multi-Cultural Community Manyatta, provides health services and water to the local community, and works to support local schools via the provision of educational materials and school buildings. All menus offer local specialities and full vegetarian options. The gift shop promotes a wide range of items made by local community groups, while dance troupes are drawn from the local community.
