Set amidst stunning scenery with long views of both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, the KIA lodge makes the ideal starting or finishing point for a safari on the famous Tanzanian northern circuit. Or for a climb of celebrated Mount Kilimanjaro. Set amids lush tropical gardens, alive with over 100 species of birds, it also lies within easy reach (3 minutes) of the Kilimanjaro international airport.

Location
3 minutes from KIA (Kilimanjaro International Airport), the lodge is ideally placed for internal travel within Tanzania. Arusha is connected by daily internal flights with Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Mwanza. There are several flights weekly to the Seronera airstrip in Serengeti National Park, Musoma and Shinyanga. There are also frequent flights to Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks. Several international airlines have flights into Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), which is half way between Arusha and Moshi whilst a number of internal flights use Arusha Airport (about 8km out of town).

Accommodation
Set amid spectacular scenery, the KIA Lodge offers 40 en suite air- conditioned cottage-styled rooms. Each cottage has been built in traditional style and features natural thatch and local arts and crafts such as the famous ‘Tinga tinga’ paintings and a broad range of Makonde carving. Each room offers both telephone and safe facilities.

The lodge offers a wide range of international and local cuisine and a well-stocked bar.The KIA Lodgemenu will typically include a wide selection of East Africa, Tanzania and traditional safari choices as well as numerous international choices.

KIA Lodge does not offer specific conference facilities but will be happy to quote for small meetings and social gatherings. A wide range of Tanzania incentives can also be arranged in or around the area.

The lodge’s swimming pool and sundeck is spectacularly located on top of a hill affording a breathtaking 360° panoramic view of mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, the Maasai steppe and onwards. Close by is Arusha National Park.
