Cassia Lodge

Cassia Lodge stands on Buziga Hill, one of the highest of Kampala’s famed seven hills, with stunning views across the waters of Lake Victoria and Kampala itself. Compact and intimate, this Uganda city hotel features only twenty rooms clustered around a central restaurant and bar. This luxury hotel also offers a swimming pool and dedicated conference centre. 


The lodge is located in central Kampala. Kampala International Airport is located at Entebbe, 35 km (22 miles) away, while Port Bell on the shore of Lake Victoria is 10 km (7 miles) away.


Cassia Lodge offers twenty ensuite rooms presented in classic Uganda safari style. Each room has its own balcony with lake views and is equipped with satellite TV, minibar, inroom safe, 24-hour room service and telephone.

Dining and bars

Cassia Lodge has a panoramic hilltop restaurant (with WiFi connection) that can accommodate up to 100 people. Seating is provided both indoors (with AC) and outdoors with stunning views over Kampala. There is also a bar with separate panoramic balcony. 

Conference and event facilities 

This city hotel offers a dedicated conference air-conditioned centre which will accommodate 20 guests in a boardroom setting. Quite and secluded the centre has adequate secure parking and offers a full range of package options including lunch, dinner, cocktails and more.

About Kampala

Kampala is the capital city of Uganda, and is said to have been built on seven hills. 

Other features of the city include the Ssezibwa Falls, Uganda National Theatre, St. Balikuddembe Market (formerly Owino Market) and Nakasero Market. Kampala is also known for its nightlife, which includes a casino. The main campus of Makerere University, one of East and Central Africa's premier institutes of higher learning, can be found in the Makerere Hill area of the City. Kampala is also home to the headquarters of the East African Development Bank.
