The luxurious Tarangire Sopa Lodge, surrounded by rocky outcrops known as kopjes and ringed by ancient baobab trees, stands deep within the pristine and largely undiscovered wilderness that is Tarangire National Park. Offering 75 rooms, a swimming pool and a luxury dining room and bar, the lodge offers a welcome oasis in these semi-arid lands, which act as a backdrop to some of the largest migrations of animals in Africa.

Location

Tarangire Sopa Lodge is situated inside Tarangire National Park in the north of Tanzania. From Arusha town, the drive is around 2 hours (120 km) on a good tarmac road. If you wish to arrive by air, a light aircraft can be chartered to fly into the Park. Tarangire Safari Lodge is just 10km away from the park airstrip. The lodge is within easy driving distance of many of Tanzania’s famous parks on the northern safari circuit.

Accommodation

The lodge offers 75 spacious rooms, all with a private lounge and mini bar. Each fully-carpeted rooms offers 2 queen-size beds with a mosquito nets, ceiling fans and a private balcony. 4 rooms are suited to the physically challenged. Services include: laundry, hair dryer, mini bar).

Dining and bars

There is a large airy dining room with both inside and outside seating. BBQ and themed dinners are offered. The comfortable bar is adjacent to reception.
The Tarangire Sopa menu will typically include a wide selection of East Africa, Tanzania and traditional safari choices as well as numerous international choices.
