Essentially a boutique hotel, the intimate and luxurious, all inclusive Oyster Bay Hotel offers stunning views, 8 interior decorated suites offered on an all inclusive basis, extensive grounds and a swimming pool and terrace. The ground floor lounge is presented as a home-from-home experience. Fully catered, the hotel serves meals on the terraces, in the grounds or by the pool according to weather conditions. There is a fifteen-meter lap pool in the garden and a combination of pool decks and sun bathing and shady areas.
The Oyster Bay Hotel is located in the centre of the Oyster Bay area of Dar es Salaam facing the ocean on Tourre Drive. It is a fifteen minute drive from the centre of the city and thirty minutes from the airports (domestic and international) depending on the traffic. The Oyster Bay has its own fleet of chauffeur driven vehicles that collect guests from the port or airport and returns them to the airport for their onward flight. The cost of this service is included in the hotel rate.
The Oyster Bay has eight spacious ocean facing suites with balconies situated on three floors. All suites are air conditioned, but also have louvred shutters and cross ventilation for those who do not wish to sleep in air-conditioning. The suites are furnished with either king sized or twin beds and have lounge furnishing as well as writing desks and plasma screen televisions. The ensuite bathrooms are open plan and contain a free-standing bath, walk through shower and enclosed toilet facility. Rates are fully inclusive of transfers, accommodation, meals and drinks.
Dining and bars
Meals are served on the verandah, in the dining area and on the pool deck depending on time of day and weather conditions.
The Oyster Bay welcomes children and we have a small number of extra 'fold up' beds to allow a child to stay in the same suite as the parents. There are two separate floors containing a double and a twin-bedded room that, whilst not adjoining, would be suitable for a 'family' giving total privacy. There are facilities for children who would no doubt enjoy the lap pool and extensive gardens and there is also the internet connection in the Study. Meals are not a problem as children can eat what they want, when they want.
