An exceptionally exclusive tented Camp, Asanja is located amongs the Moru Kopjes, rocky outcrops that rise from the surrounding plains and offer shade to numerous animals, most notably the famous lions of the Serengeti. Ecologically constructed in such a way that it will leave no impact on the landscape, the camp is the product of the local Maasai community and provides employment for them. Offering just five individually styled tents, each of which portrays a different cultural celebration in the life of a Maasai Moran, the camp also offers a safari lounge, and tented dining area. The Serengeti, whose Maasai name ‘Siringet’ translates as ‘the endless plains’, offers unparalleled ornithological opportunities and an unrivalled natural arena wherein the glory and harmony of nature can be appreciated as nowhere else on earth.

Location

The Serengeti National Park is 200 kms west of Arusha: the park’s northern boundary abuts with the Kenya border, its western boundary reaches Lake Victoria.

Accommodation

The  camp  offers just five luxury guest  tents, each of which are spacious, ensuite and have private verandahs. Individually styled, each portrays a different ceremony in the Maasai culture. Rates are inclusive of laundry.

Dining and bars

The camp offers a central Safari Bar and Lounge, which overlooks the plains, there is also a private Gazebo for sundowners. Meals are served in the mess tent, private bush dinners and breakfasts can be arranged on request.
