Impiripiri Camp

World renowned for the breathtaking spectacle of ‘the greatest wildlife show on earth’, the awe inspiring annual migration of the wildebeest, the Mara is Kenya’s most visited protected area. Technically an extension of Tanzania’s renowned Serengeti National Park, the Mara constitutes only 4% of the entire Serengeti ecosystem but its rolling grasslands, meandering rivers and towering escarpments offer one of the world’s most rewarding and evocative wildlife arenas.

Location

The Masai Mara is 270 miles from Nairobi (five hours by road). All weather air strip - less than an hour from Nairobi by plane. The camp is located on the 64 hectare Olde Kesi Private Reserve, on the south eastern border of the reseve (between the Tanzanian border and Sand River). 

Accommodation

The camp offers 7 luxury canvas tents including two family suites with 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms each. All tents are en-suite with hot and cold running water and flush WCs. Each tent has a private wooden balcony with spectacular views of the Siana plains and distant hills. 24-hour electricity is solar/wind generated. Laundry services.

Dining and bars

The camp offers both international and Meditteranean cuisine. All meals are included in the rate – a fully stocked bar is available. Bush meals are offered as part of the activities (breakfast, lunch, dinner and sundowners). A central lounge and library are provided. 

Child-friendly

The camp welcomes children and a special ’family tent’ is also offered (two rooms, two bathrooms).

What to see and do

Game drives: two extended game drives are included within the rates, each in custom built 4x4 vehicles with open roof hatches and sides. Night game drives are also part of the activities listed. Each person is guaranteed a window seat .Activities are arranged to each persons preference – the day is tailored to suit the client – a third game drive can easily be arranged.

Bird watching, either around the camp or on guided ornithogical walks. 

Safari walks in the surrounding area. Clients are taken into the near by hills which offer the most splendid view of Maasai land – ideal locations for sundowners

Cultural visits to the local Maasai villages (Maasai market day, homes and schools).

Balloon safaris (at additional cost).

Other attractions
