Elephant Bedroom Camp is a luxury tented camp offering just 12 exclusive tents and a central dining room, lounge and bar. Set on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, within the boundaries of the reserve, it is surrounded by doum palms and other indigenous trees. Small and intimate it offers rustic elegance, luxury and style. Environmentally senstitive, the camp employs members of the local community and offers rain-water showers. Linked by winding paths, the tents are lit by night with safari lanterns and Samburu warriors escort the guests to their rooms.
Location
The Camp is located in Kenya’s famous Samburu National Reserve, 343 kilometres from Nairobi.
Accommodation
The twelve insect proof tents offer a bedroom, private verandah overlooking the river and ensuite bathrooms (hot and cold running water, rainwater showers and flush WCs)
Dining and bars
The lounge and dining tents feature original oil paintings and are presented in traditional safari chic style. Broad verandahs allow for an exterior dining experience; meals are also served on the river banks and in the bush. Private dining can be accommodated on the guests’ private verandah.
