We have an extensive team of drivers, guides, support staff and office personnel, but key to our operations are the following members of our management team:
Richard Corcoran, Director
Nairobi-born Richard was born into the tourism industry and, during his long career has gained experience in every aspect of East African tourism, from acting as a tour guide to running a number of safari camps; and from tour operation to tourism promotion. A committed naturalist and conservationalist, Richard founded Liberty Africa in 1997 with his wife, Annie.
Annie Corcoran, Managing Director
Kenyan born and bred Annie, Richard’s wife, has spent her entire working career in East African travel and tourism and has extensive experience in international sales, incentive travel, luxury travel and global conference and event business.
Mini Warah, Director of Operations
Our Director of Operations, Mini, though Kenya-born was educated in Europe and holds a diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Swiss Centre International De Glion. Before joining us, she worked for a number of Kenya’s most highly respected tour agents. Mini speaks both French and Spanish.
Simon Thuo, Operations Supervisor, North America & Canada
Born and educated in Kenya, Simon has had the benefit of working in the local Tourism industry under various capacities having started out as a tour guide before gaining interest in in-house operations. We are privileged to have him head our North American department.
Rose Kivuva, Operations Supervisor, Europe & Rest of the World
Rose has been working with us since the inception of the company and has gradually moved up the ranks. Having had the privilege of personal in-house training, she knows the operations of the company through and through making her perfectly suited to manage our ‘Rest of the World’ department.
Moti Kiguzo, Human Resources Manager
Kiguzo, who manages our human resources departments, originates from the Kenyan coast. Before joining us, he worked for a number of major tour operators as well as in transport and shipping.
Penny Gakure, Marketing Manager
Penny, who is in charge of the Marketing Department, is Kenyan born and graduated from the University of Nairobi with a degree in Communications and Economics and thereafter pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a bias in Strategic Management. Before joining us she acted as Coordinator for the 15th Commonwealth Law Conference, which was held by the Law Society of Kenya in Nairobi in 2007.
