Camping

Camping in the bush is a truly holistic experience allowing visitors to sample the unspoilt environment first hand. For those for whom the wildlife safari experience is more important than the accommodation, and who are prepared to sleep in small tents, in sleeping bags on a mattress on the floor with an element of “roughing it”, this gives an opportunity for an exceptional and exclusive wildlife experience with high quality guiding. Animals do occasionally pass through the vicinity of the camp; during the day on their travels to and fro the river, and at night on their prowling rounds making this quite a thrilling experience!

Mobile Camping

A mobile luxury camping safari is a truly exclusive wildlife experience. Group sizes are subject to each private party and range from 2 to 12 (or larger if required). You are lead by an experienced safari guide and support staff. This style of safari is referred to as “mobile“ because transport will be in open 4WD game viewing vehicles from camp to camp in private wilderness concession areas. Itineraries are adjusted to the group’s requirements (please contact our consultants if the safaris listed do not fit your exact requirements). A support vehicle will travel ahead and staff will set up camp complete with dinning tent, client tents with camp beds, linen and furniture such as bedside tables and lamps and ablution tents. Meals are prepared by a camp cook and will be served at a table complete with wine and other beverages. This is the classic African wildlife safari experience!

Fly camping

The term “Fly camping” stems from the early days of hunting safaris where outings took the form of several successive nights on the trot in a different location each night. To make matters more practical each person would carry their own tent; consisting of a fly sheet and not much more. These days fly-camping is usually from one camp location base, but still provides one with the same intimate experience of sleeping out in the bush away from distractions, but on a slightly grander scale. Guests are provided with simple yet comfortable accommodation. A safe haven in the form of a canvas cocoon is what separates us from the creatures of the night, whilst providing that same ultra thrilling wild experience as before.
