A small  but charmingly presented boutique hotel with only six rooms, the Mamba Point Guesthouse is an Italian family run guest house adjacent to the Mamba Point Restaurant and Pizzeria. Located in the exclusive Nakasero suburb of Kampala, Mamba Point Guest House overlooks a central garden and swimming pool and is within minutes of the central shopping and business district of Kampala. The on-site Mamba Point Restaurant has been rated one of only four star dining establishments in Uganda by The New Vision and The Monitor newspapers (Uganda's leading daily) and awarded the title of best restaurant in Uganda, consecutively for the years 2004 and 2005, by the readers of the authoritative Travel News and Lifestyle Magazine of Nairobi, Kenya. Just a few metres down the road, the owners of the Mamba Point Guesthouse also run a traditional Italian pizzeria with wood-burning pizza oven and extensive gardens. 

Location 

The Mamba Point Guesthouse is located in the quiet and safe suburb of Nakasero suburb of Kampala, which is one of the capital city’s most exclusive. It is two minutes from Kampala city centre. Kampala International Airport is located at Entebbe, 35 km (22 miles) away, while Port Bell on the shore of Lake Victoria is 10 km (7 miles) away.

The Mamba Point Guesthouse offers six ensuite rooms all with airconditioning, safe, minibar, WiFi, direct dial phone and access to the swimming pool, gym and sauna.  Buffet breakfast, laundry services and in-room snack service available. 

Dining and bars 

The Mamba Point Guesthouse is essentially an extension of one of Kampala’s best restaurants, The Mamba Point Restaurant, which prides itself on its classic Italian cuisine and extensive wine cellar. Recently the restaurant has benefitted from the addition of a garden terrace for al fresco dining and a private room for weddings and functions. The owners of the guesthouse also run the nearby Italian Pizzeria, which has its own custom-built wood-burning pizza oven and offers a range of traditional rustic Italian cuisine.

Conference and event facilities 

The Mamba Point Guesthouse has a private dining/function room which can be used for weddings, banquets, business meetings or conference events. Events can also be held around the pool and within the grounds, or in the nearby Pizzeria, which is also owned by the guesthouse.
