Secluded on the banks of the Rufiji River, Ndoto Kidogo Lodge offers five luxury rooms, four simple rooms (for backpackers) and a small campsite. Built near an old Elephant migratory track it is often visited by elephants.

Location

The lodge is close to the village of Mloka, some 3km from the borders of the Selous Game Reserve. The park is in South-east Tanzania, south of Mikumi National Park.

Accommodation

The rooms are widely spaced offering guests an undisturbed private atmosphere, a spacious bedroom with ensuite bathrooms, and generator electricity. The simple rooms offer twin beds and communal showers. Guest houses have been designed traditionally, with no cooling system or fan, which are not necessary, given the window positioning that allows for  good air circulation and cooling drafts.

Activities include village visits and walking tours, walking safaris through the Selous (with game rangers), canoe tours on the Rufiji River (outside the park) and motor launch tours on the river inside the park.
