A relatively intact tract of rainforest on the Albertine Rift Valley escarpment, this reserve is contiguous with the Maramagambo Forest. Chimpanzees are being habituated here while 1km of forest nature trails have been developed, where trained guides lead night nature trails in search of nocturnal primates and birds. Butterflies are a highlight of this reserve (262 species). Highland birds include yellow-bellied wattle-eyes, Rwanzori turacos and purple-breasted sunbirds.
